Description
Chrysanthemums remind me of the sun's rays stretching through the sky. Did you know that the word is its genus and it is from two Greek words: chrys meaning golden and anthemion meaning flower. Happy Birthday to those born in November!
For this watercolor painting I decided on an ink and wash, and a contemporary take on expressionism to bring the rays stretching to life through this golden yellow chrysanthemum.
