One and a Half Oranges

Title
One and a Half Oranges

Medium
Painting - Watercolor On Cotton Paper
Description
A watercolor painting composed from selectively using elements from a still life set-up that included a snack table covered in paint splotches, decorative oranges, dark curtains, and various pieces of clothing to shutout the light from a window. I appreciate the backgrounds in post-impressionism paintings, especially Van Gogh. I sought out how to achieve this and then figured out how to adapt it to watercolor - glazing with 3 primary colors created this deep, bold, blue background. Professional grade, transparent to semi-transparent, watercolor paints used for hand-painted original artwork.
