Artist's Description
The goal was to focus on the contrast of shadow, brilliant scarlet, and white. An ode to O'Keeffe felt fitting. The katydid visiting my stalk makes an appearance too. This piece is primarily watercolor, white acrylic ink, Derwent Inktense pencils, gouache, a touch of black Micron pen were also used.
